Event Details

The AICP is proud to invite you to its much anticipated ^Aqidah Summer Intensive Weekend for Sisters, taking place in Birmingham on 06-8th July 2012.

Due to the high demand we experienced during the last Intensive Weekend, we have put a cap on the number of people who will be able to stay onsite, and we have put in place a waiting list system if the cap is reached. Please register early to avoid disappointment!

This residential weekend has been organised for Muslim sisters who would like to spend time deepening their understanding of how to actually follow the Qur'aan and the Sunnah in a traditional way, far from bad innovations. It will help each attendee learn how to expand her knowledge of how to make sure that what we are learning is correct. It is a very good follow-up from the previous intensive courses on the Belief in Allah, the belief in the Prophets, and Apostasy, but it is open to everyone regardless of whether they attended the previous session or not.

On top of that, there will be an opportunity to attend Tajweed classes during the mid-day break, and in the evenings to improve one's Arabic recitation (at maghrib time),  to listen to inspirational advice on marriage issues, and to generally make friends with other sisters! The weekend will end with a performance of  the delightful in-house Sisters' nasheed group: al-Hidayah!

A detailed schedule of the classes will be given on Friday 6th July on arrival to all attendees.

You will not find this type of intensive session anywhere else in Birmingham, so do register online now (nothing to pay online, only in person), to not miss out on this unique opportunity!

*** Register online, pay in person! ***

£20 for the sisters who will stay from Friday evening until Sunday evening, and

£15 for all other sisters (for example those who will not sleep on-site, or who will sleep only one night, or who will attend only one day).

This is a general contribution asked to help cover the costs of meals (meals will be provided on Friday evening, and then at breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and on Sunday), accommodation, and handouts.

***Classes delivered by a qualified female teacher :  Dr Umm Muhammad ***

Registration deadline is Thursday 5th July 2012, 12pm.

Simple registration process: because you are not paying online, the system says "free" registration. After online registration you'll receive a ticket by email that you will need to bring to Masjid Noor us-Sunnah along with your payment (if you cannot print the ticket by Friday 9th March, then just give your name and email address and we should find you in the list).

Suggested Supply List:

  • Sleeping bags/bedding/pillows/blankets and sleeping clothes (mattresses will be provided by Masjid Noor us-sunnah to people with medical conditions only)
  • Toiletries, i.e., soap, shampoo, towels, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. (showers available on-site!!)
  • Notebook and pen.

If you forget something, don’t worry too much as there are various shopping facilities relatively nearby.

Mothers are strongly encouraged to arrange separate childcare for their young children, so they can enjoy the classes and not be distracted. However, very young babies who need to be with their mothers are welcome. If you have any concern about this issue, do mention it on the registration form so we can help you the best way we can.

Do register early to avoid disappointment!
